Organic and monocultivar extra virgin olive oil | Azienda Agricola Delia Orsini

The origins of the Delia Orsini farm date back to 1920. On that date, the great-grandfather Gaetano and his wife Filomena bought a property a few kilometers away from Loreto Aprutino, an ancient medieval village in the province of Pescara in Abruzzo.
Their son Giovanni and then their nephew Sergio inherited their love for the countryside, their respect for ancient traditions combined with the continuous research for the quality. In 1993, Sergio decided to let his wife Delia guide the farm, for the great commitment and the passion
shown in developing the family business.
The estate lies along the gentle slopes of a large hill on top of which you can see the farm house where customers and visitors can taste the fine and organic extra virgin monovarietal olive oil, in harmony with the surrounding nature.
The Delia Orsini farm cultivates exclusively olive trees of a single variety, named “dritta”. This is an ancient native variety that has perfectly adapted to the land and to the climate of the area.
The land is fertilized exclusively with natural products to respect Mother Nature and the life cycle of the olive trees.
Moreover, since 2012 the Delia Orsini farm has obtained the organic product certification for its extra virgin olive oil.

The Delia Orsini extra virgin olive oil is packaged in cans of 1, 3 or 5 litres and in bottles of 0.75, 0.50 or 0.25 litres. It is characterized by low acidity and low number of peroxides; it is also very rich in polyphenols and tocopherols (vitamin E). It matches perfectly with bruschetta, soups of cereals and legumes, as well as with dishes based on both raw and cooked vegetables. It enhances the taste of roasted meat and, generally, of all typical Mediterranean dishes.
